April 2012 Movies Watched

Ahh, I’m caught up! Well after this post! Then I’ll just post once a month the movies I watched! 😉 So, without further explanation – here are the movies I watched in April.

I HATE Valentine’s Day – This was a cute movie. Very cute. Nia Vardalos is such a cutie and John Corbett seemed a good fit for her character.

Ghostbusters – I hadn’t seen this in quite a while, and really can say I didn’t remember much other than the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man and the main Ghostbusters – when I started watching I remembered more. Heh. Classic.

The Scorpion King – Can’t help myself. I like it. I own it. Best of the 3 for sure. The Scorpion King 2 – It is alright, and it was a rewatch…since last month we watched The Scorpion King 3 and made me wonder when she was killed. .. apparently sometime between 2 and 3. HA!

The Rebound – I LOVED this movie. Justin Bartha, I am forgetting where I’ve seen him (looked up – National Treasure and The Hangover), but I absolutely think he’s so cute. The ending…was too perfect.

12 Dates of Christmas – Cute move…and yes I watched a Romantic Christmas movie in April. I don’t care! LOL. Of course it was cheesy, but I still liked it. I have to say Mark-Paul Gosselaar is looking rather yummy…

Transylvania 6-5000 – This movie…haha. Quite interesting and silly and great ending. 1985 Jeff Goldblum and Gena Davis…why aren’t you watching this right now?

Thor – Watched to get ready for The Avengers. I liked the movie, but felt there’s more to tell. And hated the ending, but that’s the romantic in me. I was happy to read Thor 2 will come out next year. Chris Hemsworth did a good job in this role, as did Tom Hiddleston as Loki! And, Thor might now be my favorite of The Avengers…but Robert Downey, Jr (Iron Man), always has a special place in my heart – I mean I LOVE him. I digress.

Take Me Home Tonight – Super cute teen movie. LOL. Topher Grace is such a nerdy hottie. CAN NOT BELIEVE HE DID THAT in the movie…but glad for the ending. 😉

Cake – I totally watched this because  Heather Graham was the lead. HAHA. Yes, I did. I liked it, but then again I like chick flicks. Except Little Black Book. No. That one is bad. David Sutcliffe was so cute in this…and Taye Diggs was freaking hot in this. And, I just really like seeing Sandra Oh in anything…maybe its because I used to love Grey’s Anatomy, and actually like seeing her less serious.

The Awakening – I was in the mood for a creepy movie. I did not give it my full attention though, and it was really cheesy. And, the ending so predictable.

Mr. Deeds – Pete put this in the Netflix queue because my “sneaky sneaky” reference. Upon rewatching, realize he does not say it that much, but does it that much. HAHA.

Johnny Dangerously – I wasn’t sure I’d like this…but…I did. I think I was watching it more than Pete was. HAHA.

Dead Awake – I saw mixed reviews on Netflix for this…but I gave it a try anyway because Rose McGowen was in it. It was alright, nothing special, interesting ending. Felt there were holes.

Six Wives of Henry Lefay – Interesting movie. Pete kept walking in and thought I was watching a sad movie, but it wasn’t really sad, it was ridiculous. HA! Not entirely sure it was good, but in the end the movie wrapped up responsibly…enough. LOL.

Haunted Honeymoon – I am pretty sure I saw this before, but I sure didn’t remember it. Fun 1986 Gene Wilder, Gilda Radner, and Dom Deluise movie.

Happy Ever Afters – Hmm, yes…I don’t think I knew what I was in for. Interesting, quirky, weird movie. Some crazy stuff happens, and yes, you realize they should be together and they should not.

Lost in Austen – Super cute movie. Very long, so if you aren’t into period romances – mingled with some supernatural time travel – uh don’t watch, if you are – do watch.

Only 18 movies in April? What was I slacking? LOL. Well, it’s a week into May and I’ve seen 3 movies already! Have to wait until early June to find out what…unless I posted to FB! Oh, you can bet one was The AVENGERS! 😉

My favorite movies I watched in April have to be Thor and Lost in Austen . Yep, yep. What’s your thoughts on some or all of these movies? 😉
