My Review
This weekend I had the chance to test out this new Soft Scrub product on some mold in our bathroom! It smelled great, was easy to use, and definitely worked! The mold was easy to wipe away. I really like that the gel is concentrated in one spot. Time will tell if it keeps the mold from coming back.

I had a small party at my house and decided to put the Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips with Sea Salt out for everyone to try. They are made with sweet potatoes and contain 14g of whole grain and 40% less fat than regular potato chips. I took a taste test and I liked them. They weren’t the best thing, but they were actually pretty good. Everyone that tried them liked them. One gal said she knew her husband would love them because he loves sweet potatoes. I also gave away two of the smaller bags at the party and some of the coupons. I hope everyone liked!

About a week later, I tried the Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips with Zesty Cheddar and let me say…these are even better! I really liked the flavor, they accompany a sandwich really nicely. These are made with vegetables like carrot, broccoli, and tomato and they have 17g of whole grain.

I’d definitely recommend these new Green Giant Veggie Chips to anyone, especially those Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips with Zesty Cheddar! The Multigrain Sweet Potato ones just have a subtler flavor, but still good. I haven’t tried dipping them, but I could see that enhancing both chips!

Product Information:Mas says, “Your clothes who you are as a person, so don’t let faded darks and washed out brights ruin your first impression.” That’s pretty powerful! I found out they have two lines – Mas Color and Mas Oscura (for dark clothing). For the first time in the US, Mas is available at Walmart! Mother’s Day Story: I honestly cannot remember the last time I’ve been with my mother for Mother’s Day, it’s been many years. I do always call her and send her a gift of some sort. Purex provided me with coupons for MAS detergent in exchange for a blog post. However, all of the opinions expressed here are my own.

In our house we’ve been trying this out for over a week. I’m usually a Charmin user, but I have used Cottenelle in the past, and Fresh Wipes, but not sure if together. The combination is rather nice. Cottonelle is soft enough, but perhaps the waves make it seem like you get cleaner. And, using with the Fresh Wipes, of course I feel clean when I leave the bathroom! A friend mentioned that they actually prefer the Cottonelle, as it definitely made them feel cleaner and by using less toilet paper! That’s economical! Well, on the using less, I have to say, I feel like these rolls go by faster than my normal Charmin rolls, and toilet paper alone, I didn’t particularly feel cleaner. So for my Charmin and Cottenelle Fresh Wipes might still be the way this household goes, but I would be inclined to buy Cottenelle instead, if they make larger rolls that last longer.

My Review
This past weekend I finally placed the Soft Scrub 4-in-1 Toilet Care in our master bathroom’s toilet. I have to say, I like the colors, but half the time I kept thinking something was in the toilet when I catch a glimpse of it. It’s been a few days and it smells nice enough, but it’s lighter than I’d like. So far it’s keeping the toilet clean. I’ll have to update after two weeks and see if it actually lasts four weeks! If it does, then it will be worth the cost!

They sent me a wonderful box full of goodies for the party. It included a DOT Marc Jacob’s 1.7 oz Eau de Parfum with blottercards, a DOT Marc Jacob’s deluxe mini bottle, 12 DOT Marc Jacob’s samples, a tres chic polka dot headband, DOT Marc Jacob’s scarf, polka dot nail decals, a black tablecloth, polka dot balloons and ribbon, and bright red confetti! To eat and drink I provided fruit, meats, cheeses, and crackers, Green Giant Sweet Potato Chips, various fruit, and vanilla with orange creme cupcakes (half the batch had coconut in it). I also made up the recommended orange-vanilla punch. A few ladies brought spanikopita, pasta salad, more crackers with cheese & meat, veggie tray, beer, wine, etc. We definitely had more than enough to eat.

When the party started we all had drinks, chatted, and munched until everyone arrived. Once everyone (9+me) arrived, I told them about Marc Jacob’s Dot perfume, and sprayed on the blottercards for everyone to smell. I have to say the room smelled amazing after that. Most everyone was loving the smell. One gal mentioned, she’s pretty much into her favorite and likely would never buy. The others were interested in the price, a few didn’t like the price, but loved they were getting samples to take home!

Then I had a few giveaways of some products I felt fit the party. The last thing I gave away was the Marc Jacobs DOT mini bottle…oh everyone wanted that, as it was just so cute! Only one girl took it home!

After that, I let everyone pick out a goody bag. They were all impressed with what I put in there! A few ladies had to head home at this time.

Six of us were left and decided to play a board game to end the night, and we finished off the punch. When one round of the game was over, everyone said goodbye and headed out. It was a great party and so fun to have a bunch of polka dot fun girls over! I definitely would love to have another party like this!

The three of us packed up the vehicle close to mid-day on Friday the 22nd and headed off to Miami. The drive wasn’t bad at all, but after stopping for gas and food, we got on the road later than planned. I think we made it to our hotel around 5pm, when UMF was starting.

After lugging all our stuff up to our TWO ROOM SUITE (oh ya we went all out this time). It was amazing, we had a balcony that we realized we could see UMF from! We also had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a huge living area, and a full kitchen. After pictures and oohing and aaahing, I started to get ready.

Our friend, J, joined us (she lives in Miami)…and we all had some drinks and laughed together….and left a lot later than we planned to get over to the festival. I don’t think we got in until after 8:30pm.

Pete, F, and I went VIP (told you we went all out) and J was General Admission. The three of us zipped up to the VIP entrance no problem, and had to wait a tiny bit for Jen. Fabian and I rushed to the bathroom! PORT O POTTIES. As usual, there was water available to wash your hands on Friday night, but not the next two days (ya that’s how it always is at UMF, I think they should learn and refill every day). Of course, we bring hand sanitizer, hand wipes, and tissues (for TP)…at least a few times I’ll end up in a port-o-potty that has no TP.

Then, we headed off to check out the festival layout. There were lots of people there….being there so late we missed these DJs (and some due to conflicting set times): Martin Solveig, Eric Prydz, Avicii, Umek, Carl Cox, Luciano, Kaskade, Fedde Le Grand, DJ Icey, and Baby Anne.

We walked by and I think it was Fedde Le Grande.

We ended up at the Live Stage and got some drinks and listened to Boys Noize Live, they were pretty darn good. We stayed there for most of their set. I caught some Ultra Style with my camera on our way over there.

Pete and I left, so I could find a bathroom, and then, grabbed some food before joining F & J! LOL. Oh I had a really tasty empanada for only $5!

Then we went to the Main Stage to check out Tiesto, because I really wanted to. We hung out for a while, but we had a terrible view and since we didn’t know the lay of the land yet, I suggested we go find a better stage.

Pete and I ended the night listening to Afrojack at the Worldwide Stage. It was pretty packed at first, but we found our way by the back and went up on the hill. That hurt my toes, but we had room to dance and enjoy the show! A great end to the night!

We found out that F and J had headed back to the hotel, so Pete and I walked the mile and a half back. Of course, we smartly waited until a majority of people had left, so we weren’t sardined out of the festival area (unfortunately we had to leave that way on Saturday night). We saw the hotel restaurant was open, so we slipped in before they closed and grabbed some food. Unfortunately F & J didn’t catch the kitchen and we shared some of our food. I thought I wanted all of mine, but it was huge…so, eventually I shared.

All in all the short night was pretty good….though I was a bit apprehensive about going for two more days with the clogged area by the Worldwide Stage..that has port-o-potties on the other side. Little did I know…worse was to come in that area! (That was more *foreshadowing*).

Below are the movies I watched in March 2013. As I did last month, I listed if it was a rewatch, Redbox rental, theater, or if I own it in parentheses. The rest I watched from Netflix. Enjoy my thoughts on the following movies…only 17 this month.

The Raven – I wanted to watch this when it was at the theater. I like John Cusack. I really liked how this movie went full circle…telling you how Poe was found almost dead on a park bench…to finding Poe dying on a park bench. So, the movie is about how he got there.

Viking Apocalypse – This documentary had some interesting information that I personally didn’t know about the Vikings. It definitely has a Discovery channel feel to it. This was found…now we will figure it out! In the end we will retell you what we found and the results!

Extract – I watched this more because of the actors (Jason Batemen, Ben Affleck, Mila Kunis) and I was pleasantly surprised. I liked it. It has neglect, it has money, it has lying and cheating and scheming…and it has love and lust and friendship! LOL.

Alchemy – This was a cute movie with Tom Cavanagh and Sarah Chalke. Can a women fall in love with a machine? It sure goes some weird places!

Miss Nobody – This was a different movie! She’s a girl, who’s nobody, until she kills her boss! Well, it just spirals from there… Guilty pleasure, yes.

Not Since You – A romantic drama set around friends that went to college together, but haven’t seen each other in years. Unresolved issues ensue, but in the end…everyone comes out better. I liked this one a good bit…it’s pretty cute at times…frustrating at other times.

Dredd (Redbox) – I felt like I had seen the original, or maybe I hadn’t, or maybe that wasn’t the original. Anyway, this was the new one. I liked it. And, I loved seeing the Queen from Game of Thrones in this role!

The Secret – I was feeling a need for positivity, so I decided to watch The Secret. Yes, this was the documentary, not the movie. It does talk a lot about how your thoughts influence your life and how you can use them better to your advantage. How visualization will help for realization. How positivity helps bring more of that in your life. Of course, they use money as the example, but I definitely think it can be used for your career, for relationships, for hobbies, etc. It’s neat, but it’s not the best on this topic.

Secrets Beneath the Ice – This was an interesting documentary about the Antarctica Ice and it’s relationship to the rest of the world.

The Grey – I’ve heard good things about this movie, and I do like watching Liam Neisum, so I finally gave it a try. *SPOILER* It got increasingly depressing with every person that was killed by the wolves…and just to make matters worse…yep NO ONE LIVES. I can be down with movies that don’t have a happy ending sometimes (like The Ring and The Others and The Skeleton Key), but I sure wasn’t happy with this one. I actually wished after it was over that I had stopped halfway through when I could see the writing on the wall! I had to go watch MASH just to go to bed!

Lockout – This movie is a SciFi movie set in the future that was about a guy (Guy Pearce) who gets wrongly convicted of a crime and ends up having to save the President’s daughter to gain his freedom. I liked the movie, would I watch it again, probably not. It really was nothing great, but it was science fiction action.

Discovery Atlas: Uncovering Earth – Multiple documentaries in this series, about an hour each. They are pretty interesting. Some people like them, some don’t. I liked them enough. And, I just love to learn.

Autumn – I will be honest here…I know it was a zombie movie, wait, or was it just an apocalypse movie? Yep, the honesty is…I had it on, but I didn’t really watch or listen to this one at all. Not even sure I should list that I watched it, except, I have this feeling I have no need to ever watch it again.

Bag It - This documentary was about plastics. It starts out talking about plastic bags, then moves into plastics in general, and on to recycling. It went on to talk about what is in plastics in our house and what they could be doing to us. It also discusses the 5 large plastic islands in our oceans and just so much more. It’s motto was “Reduce (your plastic use), Reuse (over and over, and buy less one time use plastics), Repurpose (turn it into something else), and lastly, Recycle (as recycling isn’t as awesome as it sounds, and mostly only for 1 and 2′s, and even then mostly only bottles).” It’s a thorough documentary if you were interested in the subject. I highly recommend.

3 Magic Words – This documentary was about how god is inside of all of us. It compared the similarities of different religions and how we all (for the most part) essentially worship the same entity, we just call it different names. It was interesting. With god inside of all of us, we have the capacity to love and to make this world a better place. Ahhhh, now doesn’t that sound good?

With One Voice – This was a documentary. This was essentially about spirituality and the one-ness that all religions have. We shouldn’t discriminate because we are all the same and we all have god inside of us.

Fingerprints - This movie’s premise starts off with the Urban Legend of the children killed by a train when their bus stops over the tracks and then goes in another direction! Oh the kids were killed, but not by a train. Well, then it flashes to present day and a girl is coming home (to a new home in the suburbs) after being in rehab. It’s not terrible, it’s not great, but it’s expected that most everyone will die. Oh, right, Lou Diamond Phillips is in it, too! The one really bad thing to me, was the after-ending…somehow they got even worse actors to do that. Maybe it’s me? Anyway, it was nice mix from most of the zombie horror movies I watch. It has ghosts and real horror. Hope that didn’t give it away!

REVIEW: This past weekend I went ahead and opened my bottle of Purex Natural Elements Tropical Splash and immediately was not that impressed with the scent. It is very strong and albeit tropical, but not what I want my clothes to smell like. It smells like tropical candy. I had my boyfriend smell it and he didn’t care for it much either. Hmm. So, I tossed some towels in the wash to give it a try…they smelled better going from the washer to the dryer. The scent softened. After the dryer, no smell was left, so I’d recommend if you want a clean smell, to have dryers sheets. Maybe it is because we are using the clear dryer bar? All in all I love that the product is green and would buy more of their Natural Elements products, but I don’t think this scent is right for our house.
