Feb 2013 Movies Watched

Below are the movies I watched in February 2013. I decided to do something different. I listed if it was rewatch, Redbox rental, theater, or own in parentheses. The rest I watched from Netflix. Enjoy my thoughts on the movies…little or a lot!

Shakespeare In Love (rewatch) – I just wanted to rewatch this as it had been a while. It still was good.

ShakespeareInLovePost Impact (rewatch) – Pete picked this out, and quickly I realized I once watched this on Syfy or something. It was alright, but nothing special.

PostImpactIdiocracy (own, rewatch) – I watch this every now and again, because I LOVE IT and I OWN IT! This movie is freaking awesome. I can’t even praise it enough!

IdiocracyTotal Recall (2012) (Redbox) – Finally we watched the redo, different Total Recall…and it was pretty good. Of course, sometimes science fiction is unbelievable, but that’s why it’s scifi, right. Cuz toward the end……..I sure started to question the realism. But, I still liked it.

TotalRecallChariots of the Gods – This is a documentary about “ancient astronauts.” I actually do not really remember it, so I can’t recommend it. I saw some from the Discovery channel or History channel that were much better if you are interested in this theory about aliens visiting the Earth for thousands of years.

ChariotsoftheGodsUnderworld: Rise of the Lycans (own, rewatch) – Again, I’m a fan of the Underworld serious, although my favs are the first and this one. I think every time I want Sonja to live, but we know how this one goes.

UnderworldRiseofLycansMadagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted (Redbox) – Well, these movies are cute. A good family movie.

Madagascar3Pizza My Heart – Oh, this was very cute. And, I remembered, I think I saw it before. Also, I think Shiri Appleby is a cutie. So, it’s about two families that run pizza restaurants and have a grudge! You guessed it…a modern day Romeo & Juliet, but no sad ending.

PizzaMyHeartAll’s Faire in Love – The setting is a summer long Medieval Faire set in MI. Reviews weren’t that good, but I watched it and enjoyed it for what it was. I liked it. It’s nothing I’d rewatch, but I recognized some of the actors. Christina Ricci and Matthew Lillard are in it.

AllsFaireInLoveAnswer This! – A young man is following in his father’s footsteps. Only to realize he doesn’t want to. I liked this one, but the ending just kind of…well it left it all wide open. I guess that was the point. It was a bit slow…and I would not watch this again.

AnswerThisJerk Theory – Such a teenager movie, his heart gets broken, determines being a jerk is the way to go. Of course, to get the right girl, he has to learn how to not be a jerk anymore! Ha…yep…I liked it, but it’s no love.

Not only that, but their functioning and performance are also similar viagra buy cheap to one another. Treatment for impotence is done after evaluating the factors that caused aspermia appears deeprootsmag.org cost of viagra 100mg commonly. Also, playing out any strenuous physical action, driving and working apparatus is entirely disallowed in the wake of overseeing the measurement structure might causes a cipla tadalafil price provisional weakness in accomplishing penile erection. He can also help you find buy cialis in usa other estate litigation lawyers. JerkTheoryPirates! Band of Misfits (Redbox) – This was really good. Very nicely done. I didn’t love it. I don’t need to own it….but…it was really good and I recommend it.

PiratesBandofMisfitsThe Lucky One (Redbox) – Good movie…they both sure were lucky. It’s nice in the end that everything could be figured out and worked out and all for the good.

TheLuckyOne16 to Life – I watched it, because it was going to leave Netflix soon. Cute…16 never been kissed kind of movie. Coming of age movie. It’s always fun when you lose a bit of innocence, but she sure learns a lot in one day!

16toLifeThe Very Thought of You – Joseph Fiennes….and he wasn’t the best character…lol..but he was the main reason I watched this. Chick flick with a happy ending. No surprise there. 3 guys 1 girl…flashbacks. Enjoy!

TheVeryThoughtofYouHappy – This was a documentary. It was pretty good. What does it mean to be happy? How can you be happy? Can you control being happy? Happy psychology! I liked it and learned from it. Definitely going to try to look at the world differently. Already wanted to, this was just a push.

HappyWarm Bodies (theater) – My first movie at the theater this year. I liked it. It wasn’t anything spectacular and it was cute, just as I was told. I am not sure about the zombies eat brains and see the lives of the person who’s brains they are eating thing, but how else could they get flashbacks in there? I did like the concept of zombies curing themselves and of course, I’m a sucker for a love story. I was kind of expecting the skeleton zombies to be scarier and in the movie more…so that was a let down.

WarmBodiesThe Croods (theater) – Another movie at the theater, in the same month, in the same week! I was able to get into a sneak preview of this! It was beautifully animated and had an amazingly cute story. The characters were great. It was a bit funny, and had a good message. Don’t be afraid to go out in the world and try and see things! Now, I like Nicolas Cage, but I know not everyone does. Well, given that, I still think a few times he totally was Nicolas Cage and not his character. One last thing, it did make me think of Ice Age a tiny bit. Other than that, I highly recommend this movie, in particular to families and those that enjoy animated movies. In theaters 3/22/13.

TheCroodsPretty Ugly People – I can’t say this movie was quite what I thought it was. It was a bit slow building up to the actual story….but in the end all of the character learn something about themselves and they grow. Well, they only grow, because of a tragedy, but hey..that’s better than not growing.

PrettyUglyPeopleThe Facebook Obsession – A documentary that didn’t really give me what I thought it would out of it. I thought it might discuss why people get obsessed with Facebook, but it was more about how it came to be and what it is and where it is going. Meh.

TheFacebookObsessionBattleship (Redbox) – A good action flick about aliens attacking when the Navy is in the Pacific for a training exercise. It’s of course got some unbelievable scenes where you realize they shouldn’t have lived, but hey, it’s science fiction, so I tried to roll with it. I didn’t realize when I rented, but, I looked it up while watching that the lead guy was John Carter! And his brother is in True Blood!

BattleshipHotel Transylvania (Redbox) – LOVED IT! Funny, fun, and so gosh darn cute! I highly recommend this one. It’s not just for the kids! Trust me. Adam Sandler does a pretty good job of making one question if it’s really him as the father vampire. Some moments it shows through to confirm it is indeed him. Selena Gomez is cute as his daughter. And, really, all the characters are lovable. Even the zombies.

HotelTransylvaniaThanks for reading! Did you watch any of these or do you plan to?

  1. I love Idiocracy too! We own that one as well. I’d like to think that my babies will be raised by Carls Jr in the future.
You are the only (and I mean ONLY) person I’ve heard say that new Total Recall is good. Everyone I know has said it’s either terrible or they had to turn it off.
Hotel Transylvania is on my list! Can’t wait to see it!

    • LOL at babies raised by Carls Jr. Interesting about Total Recall, but again..no one said I loved it. And, I wasn’t comparing it to the first one. Lastly, the ending was unbelievable and not in a good way. Scifi.
You vill enjoy Hotel Transylvania…I hope!
