Oct – Nov 2012 Movies Watched

It would seem I watched more movies in October and November than all of July through September! Heh. Never ever assume Pete watches these movies with me, because he only watches a few with me. I bet I could even remember which ones…Dark Shadows and The Hunger Games. Yep, just two of these. Well, enjoy my quick bit about the movies….no detailed reviews here…just what I watched and my quick thoughts…trying not to give the movie away…unless I think the majority of the world has seen it.

Alice: Part 2 – It might have only been a couple of weeks between Alice: Part 1 and 2, but it wasn’t back to back. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed this rendition of Alice. I liked how it was modern and yet not. I actually liked a lot of the scenery and effects. And, it all turned out happily ever after.

AliceClueless – I just felt like watching it again. It’s just one of those fun movies that I enjoy watching.

CluelessExit Humanity – Zombie movie. I watched it in two parts. It was decent, but a bit slow. But, there was something I liked about it.

ExitHumanityGrave Encounters – This didn’t keep my attention. It was just playing in the background. I don’t think I’ll bother re-watching. Wait..maybe I should…I mean I really don’t know what it is about…and there’s even a part 2!

GraveEncountersWerewolf: The Beast Among Us – This wasn’t great, but the beast was sure among them! And, it was alright. I mean, you sure end up feeling for the beast!

WerewolfTall Man – Now this was not quite the story I thought it was going to be. I mean, I really didn’t expect how things turned out. It’s definitely a thriller and not a horror movie. And, you tell me if you agree with them!

TallManDark Shadows – This was interesting, but it left me wanting to check out the old TV show…I just felt like I didn’t get enough out of it. Of course, Johnny Depp looks the part. Michelle Pfieffer sure looks good!

DarkShadowsThe Hunger Games – We finally watched it…and we liked it. I do think some of it was sheer luck on Katniss’s part, but we all know how it ends, with luck and skill for sure. I do look forward to seeing her character develop (note I haven’t read the books, but who knows maybe I will someday), as she still is super strong in spirit!

TheHungerGamesThe Innkeepers – A supernatural thriller that certainly ended weird. I think it would pull me in and then not…so maybe I missed something…but whatever.

TheInnkeepersUninhabited – This poor couple. Makes one think twice about a deserted island for your honeymoon.

UninhabitedMirror, Mirror – Well, it was fun. Not my favoritest take on Snow White, but it was fun. And, I sure liked seeing Eddard, I mean, Sean Bean there at the end.

MirrorMirrorDracula 3000 – Space Dracula..need I say more?

Dracula3000The Moth Diaries – This was interesting…what was she? But, in the end she frees herself, gets rid of the “she” and sadly loses her friend forever…but she’s gonna be alright. Got that?

TheMothDiariesTwilight Breaking Dawn: Part 2 – I definitely liked it….even the twist, which I appreciated it for being a vision! It was beautifully done…and I do think the movies kept getting better.

TwilightBreakingDawnPart2Noel – And, then I started my need to watch Christmas movies. They are what they are. Sweet, spiritual, about love and family. This movie was all of that. Everyone got to move on, everyone got to grow, and everyone learned something.

NoelHoliday Engagement – The ol’ fake fiance bit…where in the end they are in love! Over a weekend…ahhh holiday romance!

The-Holiday-EngagementA League of Their Own – It had been a very long time since I saw this, and I think because we saw Geena Davis at Epcot’s Candlelight Processional that I was feeling like seeing a movie with her in it. Well, I really liked it. It was a good movie!

ALeagueofTheirOwnA Novel Romance – This wasn’t quite what I expected. But, I used to really like Steve Guttenburg, so what the heck. It was slow, but cute. In the end, you are so happy those quirky people get together. May/December relationship.
